Garage Foundation Contractors
A proper base is critical to the construction of any new structure. A strong foundation is essential to keep out moisture and resist the shifting of the soil beneath it. As your garage foundation contractors, Danley’s will make certain you’re always on sure footing.
Concrete is the most weather-dependent phase of your construction project. Your garage floor specialists will reach out and schedule this phase of your project on a date when conditions are appropriate for the garage foundation options you have selected.
On concrete day, it will be important to keep the jobsite free and clear of any obstructions. Concrete trucks and heavy equipment will be present, so be sure to keep all children and pets inside.
Once the foundation is poured, it needs to fully cure. Concrete curing relies on a chemical reaction which forms concrete crystals, which typically grow for months after the concrete is poured. The more crystals, the stronger the concrete.
According to leading experts such as The American Concrete Institute, concrete takes approximately 28 days to fully cure. Partial curing occurs after approximately 7 days, at which time the weight of vehicles is okay. You can also walk on the surface after approximately 2 days. Keep in mind that curing time will vary slightly based on weather conditions. Just remember – the longer the curing time, the stronger the concrete slab will be and the longer it will last.
Once your foundation has cured, we’ll begin working on the actual structure of your garage!
